My Linux Setup

I started using LINUX in November of 1997, when I got my new computer with SCSI and a good monitor and video card.

I started this page because I'd gotten a really useful hint from someone who had a similar page. However, it turns out that maintaining and keeping up-to-date a page like this isn't really work I want to do. So I'm leaving what I have, in the hope that it might still be useful, but I'll probably put similar sorts of things on one of my diary pages:

Unfortunately, LINUX is still a hobby rather than a consumer product. Even after working fairly hard on it for a couple of years, I still don't have some things working that work out of the box on a windows machine. But I have most of the things I do all the time better automated than most people using commercial OS's.
